I’m very excited to be joining the Playcentre team as after being away for a year it feels like I’m coming home. For generations Playcentre has been empowering families to grow and learn together, often pushing the boundaries and leading the way with progressive ideals. Looking back we can proud of Playcentre’s contribution to liberate women, respect the rights of our tamariki and advocate for parents as valued educators. These strange times have presented new challenges for us to overcome, but it is our flexibility, adaptability and creativity that will unite and grow our Playcentre movement, forging new pathways for the future. As a family with have richly benefited from Playcentre’s strong whanau centred philosophy that values community, manaakitanga and aroha; it is these values I will carry with me into my role as regional manager to support the team and our centres. Playcentre is a place of diversity that is woven together with a love and passion for our children and communities, it is this commitment that will ensure we thrive and flourish.
