North Shore Playcentres and Kaipātiki Community Facilities Trust invite families with pre-school children to Playcentre in the Park, a free event with plenty of fun activities for children aged 0-6 years.
Playcentre in the Park will be held at Rewi Alley Reserve in Tōtara Vale on Friday 8 March from 10am to 12noon.
There will be a range of activities for children, including bubbles, music, water play, crafts, nature play and more. There will also be a coffee cart and a free sausage sizzle.
The event is part of Playcentre Open Week, a nationwide campaign designed to boost awareness of Playcentre in the wider community.
According to Playcentre parent and event organiser Megan Lapwood, “Playcentre is a great way to meet other families in your community, and my kids just love it.”
Playcentre is a nationwide charity with over 400 centres across Aotearoa.
It is the largest parent-led early childhood education provider in the country, which means that parents attend with their pēpi and tamariki and play, learn and grow alongside them.
