To assist parents and caregivers on session to ensure sessions run smoothly, ensuring parents are supported in their role as kaiako and children’s needs are catered for, that their play learning and development is enhanced, as well as role modelling Playcentre Philosophy and current practices. To help centre members understand the key components of excellent practice at Playcentre, and how each person can contribute to this. To foster a whānau-led culture and support emergent leadership, by helping centre members gain knowledge and understanding, and increase confidence in centre members to take on more and more of running sessions themselves.

The Education Support Worker provides one on one support to tamariki with particular development requirements. The role partners with other educators in Playcentre to enable tamariki to attend their centre and learn alongside their peers and be fully included.

Session Facilitator – Stokes Valley Playcentre

Purpose of this Position 

Stokes Valley Playcentre are looking for a Fixed Term Session Facilitator to support our tamariki, parents and whanau in leading great sessions. This role will be to start as soon as possible.
We are looking for a motivated person who is enthusiastic, fun loving and creative to provide leadership to our parent led team for two sessions per week on Monday’s & Wednesday’s during school term time.

Playcentre Aotearoa are seeking an Education Lead to oversee and lead the Playcentre Education team and programme.  Playcentre Education currently offers the Level 4 NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care to parents and caregivers of tamariki enrolled in Playcentre sessions.  This role involves ensuring the academic integrity of the qualification as well creating and maintaining systems to ensure a high quality programme and ākonga (student) experience.

The Regional Manager is responsible for regional leadership and direction to support the provision of high-quality Early Childhood Education at the 49 Playcentres located in the Lower South Island region. You will work collaboratively to ensure national consistency in service delivery, and to ensure all centres are supported to achieve in the most appropriate manner to their communities.

This role oversees the coordination of our Education workshops. It involves ascertaining centres and students face-to-face workshop requests, organising workshop venues, allocating tutors and resourcing workshops. You will work alongside the Education team to provide a positive learning experience for our ākonga in Playcentre.
